Tim Kunkle
Professional Golf Instructor
Tim Kunkle joined the WinStar Golf Club team as a teaching professional in 2020.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, Tim began his teaching career in 1999 at Hank Haney Golf Inc. in McKinney, Texas, where he was introduced to golf instruction by one of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Golf Instructors in the US (2019), Tim Cusick.
Prior to his career at WinStar, Tim served as a golf professional at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas as well as the Director of Golf Instruction at TopGolf in Dallas. In 2014, Tim taught more than 800 hours of private instruction to golfers of all levels and ages. In addition, he designed, managed and instructed a summer golf camp that introduced the sport to more than 150 children from the ages of 6-12 years old. “It is very rewarding to develop relationships with guests and members and to see the enjoyment they get from the game of golf,” says Kunkle.
Tim’s philosophy is simply to improve impact and ball flight by making the golf swing more economic and consistent.
